Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan meets with Minister of Digital Affairs of Japan

On January 23, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Japanese Minister of Digital Affairs Taro Kono during the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Japan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Among the main issues touched upon at the meeting were cooperation in the field of digital infrastructure, in the areas of digitalization of the economy, cyber security, artificial intelligence, the Internet, personnel training and in improving the legislative framework.

Promising areas of cooperation in the innovation and information sphere were identified.
In addition, meetings were held at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, as well as negotiations with Japanese companies "NTT Group" and "NEC Corporation", during which the prospects of cooperation in the transport, logistics and communication spheres were considered.
