Yesterday, July 29, 2024, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization Robert Floyd. About it reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Organization. In the context of the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, the importance of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality status, which contributes to the maintenance of peace and security, was noted.
The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to continue to promote disarmament processes in accordance with international instruments at both the regional and global levels. Opportunities for training and the participation of Turkmen specialists in CTBTO seminars and trainings were considered.
