At yesterday's government meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet G. Mushshikov presented a report on the work on the draft State Budget for next year. Having heard the report, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov instructed him to amend the existing order of currency operations and develop a corresponding draft decree.
Taking into account the complication of the economic situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the head of Turkmenistan noted the need to form a Stabilization Fund at the expense of 100% of currency transfers from export companies. Now this figure is 50%. The funds will be compensated in the national currency.
The Turkmen leader also instructed to organize a commission, which will deal with the purchase of goods, medicines, and construction equipment. The priority task of the new structure will be to convert the money of enterprises and organizations in national currency into foreign currency for this purpose. The Turkmen leader's instruction should be implemented within 3 days.
