The head of Turkmenistan ordered to transfer humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

On September 11, humanitarian aid was transferred to Afghanistan in accordance with the order of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

This initiative was timed to coincide with the start of construction of the Serhetabat-Herat section of the gas pipeline and power, transportation and communication lines. The humanitarian aid contained baby food, groceries, wheat, urea, diesel fuel, gasoline and cement.

The humanitarian aid to the neighboring country was provided at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. Turkmenistan's initiative is a testament to the traditional friendly and good-neighborly relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan and is aimed at continuing humanitarian activities.
