Turkmenistan's main zoo reopened

Turkmenistan's National Museum of Wildlife, better known as the Ashgabat Zoo, has reopened to the public. This is reported by the online edition of Orient.

The Metropolitan Zoo will be open daily, except Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The popular children's recreation spot, located in the neighborhood GökdereThe city of Ashgabat, half an hour away from Ashgabat, can be reached by own car, by city cab, as well as by public transport, route No. 45, the starting point of which is the Teke Bazary market in the center of the capital.

Located on a vast area of almost 40 hectares, Ashgabat Zoo contains more than 250 species of animals, including those listed in the Red Book.

Earlier, the zoo was temporarily closed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
