Today, July 7, 2024, voting is taking place in Turkmenistan for the election of deputies to the country's Majlis in three constituencies. Sixty polling stations opened at 7 a.m. Ashgabat time. In constituency No. 1 "Garaşsyzlyk" 28478 registered voters, in constituency No. 2 "Bitaraplyk" 29687 citizens are expected to vote, in constituency No. 6 "Köpetdag" - 28476 voters. Elections of early retired deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan will end today at 19.00.
Observers from Turkmenistan's public organizations and parties are monitoring the elections to ensure compliance with international norms and the country's legislation.
