The Turkmen Foreign Minister attended the inauguration of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, which took place today, July 30, 2024. This is reported on the official website Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

In the framework of the visit, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan and the newly elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran had a bilateral meeting. Rashid Meredov conveyed greetings and congratulations on the official assumption of office of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the talk, the sides noted the effective development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran in areas of mutual interest.
