More than a thousand hectares of barley sown in Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan

More than a thousand hectares of land in Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan have been allocated for barley this year. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

The largest volume of production of this crop is carried out in Turkmenbashi etrap, where 375 hectares of land are sown, in Kunyaurgench etrap, where 250 hectares are sown, and in Akdepi etrap, where 200 hectares are allocated for barley. Farmers grow barley as a fodder crop, ensuring high productivity of farm birds and animals.

Barley is often used also for the development of new lands, as it is characterized by high adaptability, drought and salt tolerance, perfectly suited to local soil and climatic conditions. High barley yields are ensured by observance of all agrotechnical norms with scientific substantiation.
