Monument to Turkmen strongman became a tourist attraction

An unusual monument erected in Koytendag etrap of Turkmenistan in the 80s of the last century is now widely popular among tourists. It is a huge stone weighing 584 kg, located on a special pedestal. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.

The monument is erected to local strongman, wrestler Khudaiberdi Misan. There is a legend that the strongman Khudaiberdi Misan used this stone to mark his presence or absence at home - he moved it from one side of the road to the other and vice versa.

Local youth initiated the installation of the monument to the outstanding wrestler. The monument "Bogatyr's Stone", which seems to have grown out of the ground in this picturesque place, is a symbol of the region's deep sporting traditions.
