A Turkmen delegation arrived in Tokyo to hold working meetings on Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education and science. The Turkmenistan: Golden Age online edition reports.
Representatives of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Japan Institute of International Relations discussed areas of cooperation, including the possibility of academic and scientific exchange, joint scientific publications and online lectures. Special emphasis was placed on the development of international youth cooperation strategy.
Representatives of the Japanese SOKO University and IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan also met. The parties discussed cooperation in science and youth policy.
During the meetings the necessity of signing the inter-university Memorandum on mutual cooperation was emphasized. An agreement was reached to develop student exchange programs and hold joint conferences, trainings and seminars.
