Turkmenistan will host events to strengthen co-operation with the OSCE

Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov presented a report on the development of partnership with the OSCE at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Turkmenistan is already actively cooperating with the Organization in the political, economic, humanitarian and environmental spheres. In order to further expand cooperation, a proposal has been put forward to hold an international conference in Ashgabat on "The Role of Neutral States in Strengthening Security and Confidence-Building in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Region". The event will consider Turkmenistan's initiative to develop a "Global Security Strategy". The organization of a visit to Turkmenistan by the OSCE Secretary General was also proposed as part of the report.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure a high level of organization of the planned events.
