Turkmenistan hosted a round table in honor of World Rangers Day

The Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan together with the Regional Program "Major Corridors for Central Asian Felines", funded by Conservation X Labs, organized a round table in honor of World Ranger Day. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.

The participants of the event received certificates and valuable gifts from the Conservation X Labs program and the joint "Aral" project of UNDP and GEF. The Conservation X Labs program, launched in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, aims to conserve snow leopards and the Central Asian leopard in Central Asian countries.

World Ranger Day was established in 2007 by the International Ranger Federation to recognize the contribution of the profession to environmental protection. According to statistics, more than 1,000 rangers have died in the line of duty over the past decade.
