One Health" Coordination Committee established in Turkmenistan

The first meeting of the National Intersectoral Coordination Committee "United Health" was held in the Turkmen capital to emphasize the country's commitment to the implementation of the principles of a holistic approach to public health. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The first meeting of the Committee, which was organized within the framework of the project "One Health" for Central Asian states, was held on June 4 this year. Active work on realization of this project in Turkmenistan with support of WHO contributes to improvement of health of people, animals and ecosystems.

The Committee is headed by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The Committee includes representatives of various ministries and departments of the country, as well as representatives of scientific circles and public organizations.
