Turkmenistan has established a procedure for reforestation

The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan approved a document, which establishes the rules and procedure for the implementation of works by the relevant services on forest restoration and planting. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

The document stipulates certain methods and principles of forest planting in accordance with climatic conditions of the country's regions. The new document also defines the basic terms used in the field of forestry.

According to the new scale of planting efficiency and seedling establishment, normal establishment is considered to be 75% in irrigated areas and 45% in mountains and foothills. The document was agreed with the Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary" and approved on January 26, 2024.
