Production of grain legumes increases in Turkmenistan

This year, 7,300 hectares of land in Dashoguz province have been allocated for mungbean. Farmers of Akdepi etrap are going to fulfill the production plan of 2.5 thousand tons of mash. Farmers of Kunyaurgench etrap and S. Turkmenbashi etrap intend to harvest mash in fall. Turkmenbashi are going to harvest 1.5 thousand tons of mash in autumn. In Dashoguz province, other leguminous crops are also grown. For example, 410 hectares of land have been allocated for noyba, a type of bean. In total, the region plans to produce about 615 tons of noyba. Farmers of Akdepa and Boldumsaz etraps plan to harvest 180 and 120 tons of noyba, respectively.

Thus, farmers of velayat increase the production of grain legumes as one of the main agricultural crops.
