Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov today held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the talks, the diplomats discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Chinese bilateral cooperation. Special attention was paid to strengthening ties in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The sides noted the successful cooperation between Turkmenistan and China within the framework of international organizations, particularly the UN. This cooperation contributes to strengthening the positions of both countries in the international arena.
Minister Meredov expressed gratitude to Ambassador Qian Naicheng for his personal contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations between the countries. The Foreign Minister wished the Chinese diplomat success in his future professional activities.
In turn, the PRC Ambassador thanked the Turkmen side for all-round support and assistance he received while carrying out his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
