Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov is in Japan on an official visit that will last from December 21 to 24. On Wednesday, he held a series of bilateral meetings. This is reported by Orient news with reference to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting with the head of JBIC the sides discussed participation of large Japanese companies in Turkmenistan's important projects. The sides held a constructive dialogue on development of joint Turkmen-Japanese projects in transport, gas and chemical and agricultural spheres.
Also on Wednesday, Rashid Meredov held talks with the head of the NEXI Agency, which oversees the insurance coverage of the financing of joint projects. In addition, he had a meeting with the president of the Japanese firm Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. with whom he discussed the construction of the 2nd enterprise to produce gasoline from natural gas.
