A technical advisory mission of the World Health Organization experts arrived in Turkmenistan to improve the national capacity in the field of emergency medical teams. This is reported on the official website WHO in Turkmenistan.
A team of WHO experts, led by Dr. Oleg Storozhenko, met with senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
The purpose of the visit of the WHO expert mission to Turkmenistan is to increase the capacity of the country's national emergency medical teams, to provide the experts with the necessary advisory support, and to appoint a national coordinator for emergency medical teams.
In addition, during the meeting with WHO experts the roles and responsibilities, current situation and opportunities in the field of national emergency medical teams in Turkmenistan will be considered. On the agenda is discussion of possibilities for joint activities in this direction.
The successful completion of the expert mission will be an important milestone in strengthening Turkmenistan's emergency response capacity.
