Young lawyers represented Turkmenistan at the International Competition in Vienna

A team of students from the International University of Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan took part in the Willem S. Vis International Law and Commercial Arbitration Competition held in Vienna. This is reported on the website of Orient news.

The International Law Student Competition has been organized since 1993. This year they were held in a face-to-face format and gathered more than 2,500 students and 1,100 arbitrators from 89 countries.

Turkmenistan was represented by fourth-year students Shemshat Annageldieva, Altyn Orazberdieva, Leyli Dovieva and second-year student Begli Ataev.

Participation in the competition provides an opportunity to acquire new knowledge of international commercial law and to study the provisions of the Vienna Convention on International Trade. The contestants practice presenting their position on legal issues and defending their point of view, and learn to express their thoughts fluently in English.
