Officials escorted the National Leader of the Turkmen people at the Ashgabat International Airport. Upon arrival in Iran, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan was met by high-ranking officials of the Republic and a guard of honor at the Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran.
The high-level talks between Iran and Turkmenistan are aimed at strengthening traditionally friendly and fruitful relations. Expansion of interstate ties, particularly with neighboring countries, is a priority policy of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
