In honor of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and Novruz celebrations, Turkmen activists organized a mass planting of young trees in Aqina (Andhoi District, Afghanistan). The planting site was located near a mosque for 500 people, which is being built near the bas-relief of M. Fraghi with the direct assistance of Turkmenistan.
Diplomats from the Turkmen Consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif and the Afghan Foreign Ministry, the mayor of Aqina, customs officials, railway officials, oil and gas companies, as well as media representatives and the Turkmen diaspora took part in the action.
Recall that on Tuesday, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent his congratulations by telephone to Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who had been re-elected President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
For the period 2020-2022, Turkmenistan has developed a special program to help consolidate stable peaceful life in neighboring Afghanistan, which provides humanitarian support for the next 2 years.
