Turkmen President Serdar Berdymukhamedov met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk. During the meeting the sides discussed the development of joint projects and strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations. They touched upon the topics of the recent visit of the delegation of the legislative body of Turkmenistan headed by Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to Moscow.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Alexey Overchuk paid special attention to the growth of trade turnover between the countries, highlighted the most promising industries for cooperation: industrial, oil and gas and logistics. They emphasized the role of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in the diversification of economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia.
The president of Turkmenistan and the Russian representative also discussed cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including culture, education, science and healthcare.
