On September 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the head of the World Confederation of Ethnosports Bilal Erdogan, TDH reports.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the upcoming talks and meetings during the visit would give a new impetus to the intensification of bilateral cooperation in the field of sports.
During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan has created ample opportunities for the development of sports movement. The construction of modern sports and recreation complexes, multifunctional stadiums and other specialized facilities with necessary equipment in all regions of the country is a vivid proof of this.
It was noted during the meeting that the World Confederation of Ethnosports is working hard to revive folk games formed over centuries. The Center for National Sports Games operating in Turkmenistan is also a member of this Confederation, which opens up great opportunities for further development of cooperation in the field of sports.
The head of state reaffirmed our country's readiness to make every effort to strengthen relations between the two friendly countries, including in the field of sports diplomacy.
