On November 8, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to summarize the results of the work carried out for ten months of the current year and discuss the priority tasks of socio-economic development of the country, TDH reports.
In the course of the meeting the Speaker of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the results of the activity of the national parliament for January-October on improvement of the legislation.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on macroeconomic indicators for ten months of the current year, implementation of the National Rural Program.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the results of work carried out in the supervised sector for 10 months of 2024.
In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the results of work done in the supervised area in January-October of this year, and seasonal agricultural campaigns in velayat.
Previewing the report, the Deputy Prime Minister on behalf of all workers of the agricultural sector cordially congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Hero Arkadag on the Harvest Festival, which symbolizes the generosity of the Turkmen land, and wished them good health, longevity and success in their activities for the benefit of the people and the country.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the results of the construction and industrial complexes for January-October 2024.
Then the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the results of work of the supervised sphere for ten months of the current year.
In continuation of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparations for the events on the occasion of summarizing the results in the context of declaring the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. In this regard, it was informed that according to the Plan approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the final celebration, the regular meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of the TURKSOY member countries and a concert of masters of arts of the Turkic states will be held on November 16.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva reported on the results of work for January-October of the current year.
Schoolchildren successfully participated in international educational Olympiads, where they won 813 gold, silver and bronze medals.
As reported, in the period under review, activities on modernization of the scientific system, increasing the efficiency of scientific research, strengthening the link between science and production were continued. Research on priority directions of science and technology was carried out. Candidates for academic degrees have been registered and dissertations have been defended. A strategy for the development of science in Turkmenistan for 2024-2052 has been approved.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the results of the work of the Foreign Ministry for January-October.
As reported, within ten months, meetings and negotiations at various levels were held, including online. The legal base of Turkmenistan's international cooperation was enriched with 196 documents.
Bilateral contacts at the level of foreign ministries are carried out on a regular basis. Inter-Ministerial consultations have also taken place since the beginning of the year.
Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the results of activities of institutions of the supervised sector for ten months of the current year.
Information on the implementation of the "Concept of the development of digital economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025" was also heard.
Then, addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction that the results of the work done over the ten months demonstrate the successful development of the independent Motherland. Thus, the GDP growth rate amounted to 6.3 percent during the reporting period. Construction of large buildings and structures of industrial and social purpose, including new settlements, residential houses, recreation and medical centers, schools, kindergartens and a number of other facilities continues in the country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that every year work is carried out to announce the motto and approve the emblem of the coming year in accordance with the realities of modern times. As is known, the head of state emphasized, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution "International Year of Peace and Trust, 2025". In this regard, it is planned to organize numerous international events in our country and countries of the world next year.
Addressing Majlis Speaker D. Gulmanova, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the deputies should discuss with the people the issue of defining the motto and emblem of 2025 and prepare relevant proposals.
The head of Turkmenistan also emphasized that the nationwide planting of tree saplings is scheduled for November 9, and on November 10, the Harvest Festival will be widely celebrated in glory of fruitful and hard work of our courageous people.
Taking into account the great successes achieved in the development of the agricultural sector and on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree on awarding the medal of Turkmenistan "Watana bolan söýgüsi üçin" and cordially congratulated the Turkmen people and hard-working daihans on the holiday.
