Turkmenistan and UNFPA discuss the 2026-2030 program

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held today a videoconference with UNFPA Country Director in Turkmenistan Chinwe Ogbonna. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the participants noted the high level of interaction between Turkmenistan and the UN Population Fund. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in priority development areas.

Special attention was paid to the approval of the new UNFPA Country Programme for Turkmenistan for 2026-2030. The document was approved on August 28 this year in New York at the Second Regular Session of the UNFPA Executive Board.

The participants of the meeting considered the issues of further development of joint agreements and plans within the framework of the partnership. The parties expressed mutual interest in deepening cooperation and confirmed readiness to implement joint projects under the new program.
