President of Turkmenistan meets with UN Secretary General

On the margins of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with UN Secretary General António Guterres. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan, guided by the principles of neutrality, follows the norms of international law and principles of the UN Charter. It was noted that cooperation with the UN is a strategic priority for Turkmenistan. In this regard, Turkmenistan actively supports the initiatives of the international community under the auspices of the UN aimed at ensuring peace, security and stability.

During the conversation it was noted that Turkmenistan successfully cooperates with specialized UN structures to propose initiatives aimed at the implementation of major projects in regional and global format.
