Presidents of Turkmenistan and French company Cifal discussed prospects of economic cooperation

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the French company Cifal Gilles Remy in the capital of Turkmenistan today. The information is reported by the news program Watan.

Mr. Remy congratulated President Berdimuhamedov on the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, noting that he was happy to be in Ashgabat on these solemn days. He wished prosperity to the Turkmen people.

As Gilles Remy emphasized, French and European business is interested in developing relations with dynamically developing Turkmenistan, where favorable conditions for mutually beneficial economic cooperation have been created.

In turn, Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked Mr. Remy for warm congratulations. The President of Turkmenistan noted that the visit of the French businessman would be a good opportunity to discuss specific areas of bilateral cooperation and strengthen ties between Turkmenistan and French companies.

The head of Turkmenistan emphasized that his country is open for fruitful cooperation with major European firms to introduce advanced technologies and innovations.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Cifal is a reliable partner of Turkmenistan. Together with French companies, the company has already successfully implemented a number of major projects in such spheres as construction, oil and gas industry and aircraft building.

The President of Turkmenistan said that in recent years the country's economy has been actively modernizing and industrializing. Turkmenistan's foreign policy is aimed at expanding economic ties and using the world's best practices in IT, agriculture, water conservation and "green" technologies.

Turkmenistan is interested in further development of achievements of French companies and is ready to consider specific proposals for cooperation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.

In turn, Gilles Remy confirmed Cifal's interest in the realization of new joint projects in Turkmenistan and commitment to the previously reached agreements on cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Remy thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the reception and wished him success in his work for the prosperity of the country.
