UNDP donated ultrasound machines to Turkmenistan

Within the framework of the program "Response to COVID-19 in Turkmenistan" UNDP transferred 20 ultrasound machines and consumables to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan for a total amount of over 790 thousand US dollars. This is reported by turkmenportal.com.

The supply of ultrasound machines was financed by the World Bank. The modern medical devices handed over to Turkmenistan have a wide range of functions. They can be used for Dopplerography, 4-D visualization in real time. The devices are able to automatically determine the nature of tissues and transmit a high-precision image to a computer for further study and prescription of optimal effective treatment of patients.

The new ultrasound machines will be used in medical institutions in the capital and provinces of Turkmenistan.
