President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, who arrived in Ashgabat. This is reported on the air of the news program Watan.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the positive dynamics of the dialogue at the highest level and noted the similarity of the countries' positions on the global agenda. The sides noted the effective partnership within the framework of international organizations and mutual support for initiatives and proposals.
It was noted that special importance is attached to building up trade and economic partnership, in particular, increasing mutual trade turnover, active cooperation in the fuel and energy sector of the economy, transportation and logistics and agricultural spheres.
In addition, the countries are actively developing cultural and humanitarian interaction, including in the fields of science, education and culture. The important role played by inter-parliamentary cooperation was also recognized.
