On December 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Hiroyuki Tsubaya, member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President of Itochu Corporation, President of Machinery and Equipment Company, Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation, TDH reports.
Expressing gratitude for his time, Hiroyuki Tsubai emphasized the high interest of Japanese companies in investing in the Turkmen economy. He noted the favorable investment climate and all necessary conditions for productive activities. Expressing best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, the guest noted his great contribution to the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations.
During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the upcoming 15th meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation would give a new impetus to bilateral economic ties. The head of state also wished the meeting to be successful.
As it was noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan views Japan as an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Interstate cooperation is of a long-term, strategic nature and covers a wide range of areas: from politics and economy to culture and humanitarian ties.
Trade and economic ties are one of the priority areas of partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan. Next year, Japan will host the World Exhibition "EXPO-2025", the head of state noted. Emphasizing that a special Organizing Committee has been set up in our country to participate in the global forum and relevant preparations are underway, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took the opportunity to wish the World Expo a success.
