President of Turkmenistan received representatives of American business

On December 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with representatives of American business: Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, Chaba Leiko, President for Strategic Cooperation in Central Asia of John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG, and Nikolay Yurchenko, Head of Westport Trading Europe, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Turkmen-American Business Forum, TDH reports.

The businessmen expressed interest in further development of cooperation with Turkmenistan, which has a solid economic potential.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the upcoming business forum would contribute to strengthening investment cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States and wished the event a success.

During the meeting the prospects for cooperation in various sectors of the economy were discussed. It was noted that the American companies Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland, Nicklaus Companies, Westport Trading Europe Limited have been successfully implementing a number of major projects in Turkmenistan for many years. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significant contribution of the Turkmen-American Business Council to the development of bilateral economic relations.

Among the most promising areas of cooperation were identified oil and gas, electric power, renewable energy, transportation and communications, agriculture and high technology.
