Serdar Berdimuhamedov started his official visit to Ankara

Today Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on an official visit to Turkey. This was reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of the government and diplomatic corps saw off the head of state at Ashgabat airport. According to experts, mutual visits at the highest level traditionally strengthen the interstate dialog between Turkmenistan and Turkey.

Upon arrival at Ankara airport, the President was met by Turkish officials. The upcoming talks between Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Turkish leadership are expected to open a new page in the relations between the two countries.

Turkmenistan and Turkey have special friendly relations based on common cultural and historical ties. Experts predict further strengthening of cooperation between the countries following the results of the current visit.
