Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister with the "Skillful Diplomat" decoration

President Serdar Berdymukhamedov awarded Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov the "Skilled Diplomat" insignia, according to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

"For outstanding great success in strengthening state independence and neutrality, implementation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy course, development of political, cultural, humanitarian and other relations of the country, protection of state interests of Turkmenistan in foreign countries, as well as many years of conscientious and exemplary work in the diplomatic service system," the resolution reads.

Rashid Meredov is 62 years old. He has been head of the foreign policy department since 2001.
