Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed the progress of works in the agricultural sector of the country

On November 11, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev and khakims of velayats to review the progress of work in the agricultural sector of the country and implementation of the National Rural Program, TDH reports.

During the meeting, the khakims of Akhal velayat S. Soltanmyradov, Balkan velayat H. Ashirmyradov, Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev, Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov, Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns, steps taken to ensure proper functioning of heating systems in social facilities and homes.

Hyakims also reported on the progress of construction of socio-cultural and production facilities under the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.

Haykim of Balkan velayat H. Ashirmiradov reported to the head of the state that courageous cotton growers of the region have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations to deliver raw material and expressed on behalf of the residents of the velayat sincere gratitude to Arkadagli Hero Serdar and Hero Arkadag for the created opportunities for fruitful labor.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the cotton growers of Balkan province who were the first to fulfill their contractual obligations to deliver "white gold" to the state, and wished them new successes.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev said that these days in velayats continue to harvest cotton to the last boll and transport it to the receiving points without losses, as well as measures are taken to operate at full capacity agricultural machinery and units involved in the harvesting season.

Crop maintenance work, such as soil irrigation, is underway in the country's wheat fields.

Along with this, plowing of land for next year's cotton planting is underway.

Agricultural activities are carried out in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats to collect the grown rice crop, and in Mary region - sugar beet.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, addressing the participants of the working meeting, emphasized the importance of strict control over the harvesting of cotton grown in the velayats to the last boll, efficient operation of harvesters and other machinery, proper work of cotton ginning enterprises and receiving stations.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized on agricultural activities in the fields sown with wheat, instructing to ensure strict control over their care, timely weed control, weeding and the first vegetation irrigation, feeding the soil with mineral fertilizers within the agrotechnical terms, paying special attention to obtaining proper sprouts.

At the same time, it was instructed to keep under control the process of plowing of lands in the regions where cotton will be planted for next year's crop, timely settlements between producers and service institutions for the work done on cotton harvesting in the current year and laying of wheat crop next year.

The head of state also ordered to take necessary measures to harvest rice in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, sugar beet in Mary velayat without losses, to ensure proper functioning of heating systems in administrative and public institutions, educational and cultural facilities, residential houses.

In addition, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to strictly control the construction of social and production facilities that are planned to be opened in the regions this year.
