Representatives of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan meet

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met on Wednesday, March 29. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The two sides discussed the established inter-parliamentary ties, exchanged views on interstate relations in the regional format, as well as in international organizations and multilateral cooperation platforms. The Turkmen side thanked the Uzbek Foreign Minister for supporting and co-sponsoring a number of UN resolutions initiated by Turkmenistan.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in transport, trade and economic, chemical, agricultural spheres, as well as the importance of developing cultural and spiritual ties between the countries.
