Yesterday in Turkmenistan there was a celebration dedicated to the fulfillment of obligations of farmers to harvest wheat.
Before the meeting of the Cabinet and State Security Council began, children from different regions of the country greeted the head of state and handed the Leader of the Turkmen Nation symbolic "bunches" of wheat spikes.
The leaders in the implementation of the state order were the farmers of the Akhal (more than 400,000 tons), Dashoguz (more than 265,000 tons), Mary (more than 43,600 tons) and Lebap (more than 21,200 tons) provinces. The relevant reports were handed over to the President by the heads of the regions.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that he had visited the places where the crops were reaped, and he personally got acquainted with the hard work of farmers and modern agricultural equipment in the fields, which farmers had thanks to the ongoing reforms.
The leader of the Turkmen nation called bread a priceless gift of the earth. The President of Turkmenistan read out his own poetic lines as a sign of gratitude to the sacred labor of grain growers.
