President of Turkmenistan meets with the President of the European Council

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the European Council Charles Michel in New York on September 18 this year. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides noted the successful cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU in the bilateral format, as well as within the framework of "EU-Central Asia". The EU provides comprehensive assistance to Turkmenistan in the implementation of projects related to socio-economic development, including in the legislative, educational, information and communication, agricultural, nature protection and adaptation to climate change spheres.

It was noted that European companies are represented in many sectors of the Turkmen economy. The parties discussed prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation in the spheres of transportation, construction, communication, energy and communications.
