During the meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan on October 18, Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova spoke about the results of lawmaking activities. This is reported by the online edition "CentralAsia.news".
A new version of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan is currently being drafted and amendments to existing laws are being made. An important event was the holding in the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the second meeting of the Chairmen of the Parliaments of the Central Asian States and South Korea and the adoption of a joint declaration.
The issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation were considered during meetings with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and South Korea. Educational work with the electorate was carried out to explain the state policy.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of modernizing national legislation and strengthening inter-parliamentary ties.
