Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation with his Kyrgyz counterpart Sadyr Zhaparov. This is reported by Turkmenportal online edition.
The President of Turkmenistan warmly greeted the Leader of the friendly state and expressed sympathy on behalf of himself and the entire Turkmen people in connection with the accident at the thermal power plant in Bishkek. Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan had sent a humanitarian cargo to Kyrgyzstan and was ready to provide all possible assistance to the brotherly people.
Sadyr Zhaparov thanked for the words of support and humanitarian aid. He emphasized that he highly appreciates the good neighborly relations between the countries. The head of Kyrgyzstan also noted that Turkmenistan was among the first countries to send aid.
In the course of the conversation, the sides noted the high level of mutual understanding and openness in bilateral relations, as well as the development of cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian areas.
