Turkmen delegation participates in the 146th IPU Assembly in Bahrain

The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis G. Ashirov is actively participating in the meetings of the 146th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from March 11 to 15 this year. Members of parliaments of 117 countries of the world are also participating in the meetings. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The main topics of the meetings concern the promotion of peaceful coexistence and inclusive societies. Members of parliaments express views and develop an action plan to combat intolerance.

The Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis addressed the plenary session of the IPU Assembly, emphasizing the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in solving the tasks of ensuring effective counteraction to the challenges of time, in solving the tasks of preserving peace and maintaining sustainable development.

It should be reminded that within the framework of the 146th IPU Assembly, the head of Turkmenistan's delegation also took part in the 2nd Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement.
