Today, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan and the UN Environment Program took place. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The document was signed by the Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Ch. Babanyyazov and the Director of the UNEP Division of Industry and Economics Sh. Agarwal-Khan.
An important component of the signed Memorandum is the mandatory development of structured regional programs to ensure the attraction of modern climate technologies to Turkmenistan and the countries of the Central Asian region.
In addition, the document prescribes joint implementation of projects to introduce technological developments in the region and exchange of knowledge and experience in the field related to climate and environmental protection.
