Within the framework of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, a side event on "Human Rights and the Right to Development" was held on October 2 under the organization of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN and permanent missions of Central Asian countries. The event was attended by permanent representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, international organizations and human rights specialists.
V. Hajiyev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN in Geneva, speaking at the meeting, noted the importance of the right to development in the context of observing and supporting human rights. The measures taken in Turkmenistan to improve the quality of life of citizens were also presented.
