Turkmenistan develops international cooperation in the field of ecology

On April 12, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported on measures taken to expand cooperation with foreign partners in the field of ecology. This is reported by the Internet publication "Vestiabad".

In order to implement the Presidential "Caspian Environmental Initiative" in the second half of April 2024 it is planned to hold a round table with the participation of representatives of the UN and other international organizations, the Caspian Sea Institute, universities and departments of Turkmenistan.

A proposal was made to join the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. A proposal to join the Euro-Asian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums was submitted to the Head of State for consideration.
