Turkmenistan strengthens partnership with the African Union

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Mekan Ishangulyyev met with Deputy Chairman of the African Union Commission Mohamed El-Amin Suef in Ethiopia on October 14, 2025. This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The sides discussed the dynamic development of Turkmenistan's cooperation with African countries, which was vividly confirmed by the active participation of high-ranking delegations of African states in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries held in Avaza in August.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized that the development of friendly mutually beneficial relations with the countries of the African continent remains one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The Vice-Chairman of the African Union Commission praised the potential for expanding cooperation in such areas as energy, chemical industry, agriculture and culture.
