Turkmen-Italian political consultations were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on January 14. The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Akhmet Gurbanov, while the Italian delegation was headed by Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. In the course of consultations, the parties exchanged views on topical issues on the regional and global agenda. Attention was also paid to the joint organization and conduct of events timed to coincide with the declaration of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Confidence.
The parties also emphasized the strengthening of partnership in trade and economic sphere, which will be facilitated by holding business forums and business meetings between representatives of business circles of Italy and Turkmenistan.
