The ninth session of the Conference of Parties against Doping in Sport (COP9) was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris from October 25 to 26. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by M. Chariev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to UNESCO. The conference reviewed preliminary reports on the fight against doping in sport and recommendations on strengthening the responsibility of the participating countries in the implementation of the Convention.

Special attention was paid to the elimination of doping in 2024-2025. Turkmenistan joined the UNESCO Anti-Doping Convention in 2011, as well as the Nairobi Treaty regulating the protection of Olympic symbols.

The Government of Turkmenistan pays special attention to promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening international sports cooperation.
