Turkmen shipbuilders increase production

Turkmenistan's leading shipbuilding and repair plant "Balkan" continues to actively increase production volumes. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

At present specialists of the shipyard within the framework of the agreement with South Korean company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd. are building two dry cargo ships of 6100 tons carrying capacity.

The Turkmen shipbuilding enterprise has set up all stages of the vessel's creation - from design to testing. The plant has a staff of 90 people, including engineers and workers. The specialists pay special attention to the quality of work and compliance with international standards. The enterprise also trains specialists for the shipbuilding industry of Turkmenistan.

Earlier, Korean specialists held two-month advanced training courses for Turkmen shipbuilders.
