Turkmen diplomat to meet with representative of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Armenia M. Ayazov held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia N. Karamanukyan on June 21. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The agenda included discussion of trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Armenia, as well as establishment of cooperation between entrepreneurs of the states. The parties noted that recently Turkmenistan and Armenia have seen an increase in trade turnover.

During the meeting, the ambassador familiarized Karamanukyan with the new city of Arkadag, which is being built according to the concept of a "smart" city. The Turkmen diplomat said that in order to implement the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, it is planned to erect service and production facilities for the manufacture of medical drugs, food and industrial goods in the city.

He also noted that international tenders for the construction of relevant production facilities are being held in this regard.
