Turkmen President meets with Chairman of the Parliament of Tajikistan

During his working trip to Tajikistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda. This is reported in the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The President of Turkmenistan expressed interest in expanding inter-parliamentary ties and improving their effectiveness. Special attention was paid to the possibility of establishing a Friendship Group in the Turkmenistan-Tajikistan format.

During the meeting it was noted that this format of relations will allow enriching the experience of both countries in lawmaking practice. Interaction between the countries within the framework of international organizations was also discussed.

The parties reached agreements on holding regular joint meetings, seminars and round tables to strengthen and build up political relations.
