A seminar organized by the UN FAO on improving aquaculture feed production and raising the qualifications of aquafeed producers was held in the Turkmen capital from 19 to 20 December 2024. This was reported by the online publication "Westiabad."
The two-day training course was part of FAO's TCP/TUK/3902 project to improve the health management of aquatic animals. The workshop was conducted by Thomas Shipton, an international expert specializing in the development of aquatic animal feeds.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies of Turkmenistan, aquafeed manufacturers and SPP members.
During the seminar, Arslan Soltanmyradov, Head of the International Department of the State Veterinary Service of Turkmenistan, emphasized the importance of the event for the development of fish farming in the country.
